iPower® Completes Solar System for Disney Childcare

Integrated Power Corporation (iPower^®), designer and integrator of clean energy solar systems for commercial, new construction and residential markets, announces the completion of a photovoltaic system integrated into an elegant steel shade canopy for the new Disney Childcare Center in Glendale, California. The renewable energy generated by the photovoltaic system provided the design team valuable points toward meeting the projects overall LEED certification goals.

The 30.36 kWDC solar system with its 132 PV modules will produce 36,438kWh of clean energy annually.

“We’re especially proud of this project because we worked closely with the architect, the developer and contractors to meet the necessary LEED requirements and stay within the aesthetic that the architect and developer were trying to achieve,” said Eric Pollock, iPower^® CEO.  “The Disney Childcare Center is a very custom project; our job was to provide a system that met the strict production goals while maintaining the aesthetic of the architecture. The solar canopy provides a unique shaded entry to the building and reflects the energy efficiency intention of the entire Disney project.”
